Oil Drilling Grade Salt

HUB-PAK enjoys a very good export market for the oil and gas drilling grade of salt with an ever-expanding export program which takes our salt to countries such as Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Mauritius, Reunion Island, Brunei, and the United Kingdom.
We have many grades to offer to the oil drilling sector starting from PVD salt to even a lower grade of 97~~98% with major emphasis on quality and timely shipments which is a very important factor for the drilling companies. They and we both know it well and we understand their position on this. All levels in our organization are committed to achieving the highest levels of quality in products and service, as well as constant improvement in Quality.

Oil Refinery Grade Salt

HUB-PAK has a premium grade rock salt usually used in oil refineries and the petro-chemical industry. In oil refineries, the hydrodesulfurization units for Jet and Diesel need coalescer and salt dryer when stripper column is designed with direct stripping steam. The salt dryer will completely avoid product off specification in water content and appearance (hazy).

Size and size distribution of the rock salt particle is very important parameter. Too small particle will cause severe corrosion on down stream system due to salt carry over. Too big particles will significantly reduce in-active surface area.

The grade of rock salt HUB-PAK offers has several advantages over others as size management, screening, drying and packaging at our most advanced and highly sophisticated plant makes all possible efforts to directly ship to the customer. This completely avoids contamination, moisture building during transportation and thus also minimizes the damage that can be caused to crystals due to over handling.

Pharmaceutical Grade

There are 7 different grades which we are manufacturing for the pharmaceutical applications. The pharmaceutical companies are using our various products. Product range starts from Pyrogen free pure NaCl confirming (rather exceeding) the BP, EP, USP, etc and goes to a lower grade of 99.95% minimum of NaCl. Recent addition to our fleet of Pharmaceutical grade is special bromine free grade which has broken all quality records and as a result of latest research this grade has been possible to be manufactured in Pakistan thanks to our R&D. We are going into expansion for this grade and, we are proud to add, masha'Allah, we are already an exporter of this special grade.

Rock Salt Lamps

For centuries people have known about the ability of Salt Crystal Rock to improve air qualities by enriching air with " Negative Ions " and ionized air beneficial to humans. Rock Salt Tiles

When we received our first order for ROCK SALT TILES we had no idea what was the use of this tile. It is used to make speleotherapy cabins . Speleotherapy means a room or area with Salt Crystal Rock tiled walls where people sit and breathe Ionized air, i.e. natural negative ions produced through ionization process by Salt Crystal. In the European countries like Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Armenia and Pakistan in Asia have utilized the underground used up salt mines as speleotherapy clinics and people visit there in large numbers to pass some time inside the mine to breathe rich negative-ion air inside the mine. Many patients cannot afford to go to the mines due to the distance and traveling fatigue , they prefer to have a salt mine of their own in one of the small rooms of their house. Smoked Salt

Hub Salt’s smoked sea salt is a 100 % natural way to add authentic smoked flavour with no strange after taste. No liquid smoke, artificial flavours or colouring are added.

Smoked Sea Salt combines traditional wood flavour with sea salt to create a most unique and beautiful spice to use in any of your favourite recipes, both on and off the BBQ. Natural smoked salt is slow smoked over real wood, giving it an authentic, clean smoke flavour. It can be used alone or mixed into other spice blends.

Smoking salt takes a lot of time, salt doesn't absorb the smoke - or cook and react in the warm environment the same way meats will. Salt absorbs flavour as the smokes resin coats the grains, and this take some time depending on the coarseness of the grain, salt needs at least 72 hours at the smoking plant, but our best salts spend 96 hours smoking.

This grade is very rare in Pakistan and not many countries are producing smoked salt in the word.

The salt is produced by, using a "fizzing" (evaporating) process, which takes place in a vessel over an open, smoky fire containing many different woods and herbs . Soap, Detergent And Glycerin

Salt is one of the important raw materials for the soap. detergent and glycerin industry. In soap and glycerin manufacturing process, after the saponification reaction, soap is washed with concentrated brine solution (NaCl) to separate glycerin.
Almost as a rule, the solubility of soap in water increases with an increase in the size of monovalent cation, an increase in divalent cation (Mg, Ca ) results in a decrease in the solubility. In general, an increase in the water solubility is accompanied by increase in the softness and mushiness properties of soap. Ca & Mg are usually known as major impurities of Sodium Chloride, and during the manufacturing of soap, these divalent ions replace the monovalent ions and cause problems in the solubility of soap.
Hub-Pak is manufacturing 5 different grades of salt for soap, detergent and glycerin Industries. The grades start from Ca and Mg free grades and there are many other grades which fulfill the quality requirements of the Soap manufacturers. Sodium Chloride is used by some formulators in detergent manufacturing, its main function being as inert "filler". In spray-drying applications, NaCl is used to control slurry viscosity and density of the spray-dried beads or granules.
